The Family Project will be running a Parents Plus Special Needs Programme starting the 10th of January 2023 via Zoom from 10am to 12pm
This free programme will be held online and is suitable for parents of children aged 11-15years with an intellectual disability and/or a diagnosis of ASD
This programme gives parents the opportunity to meet other parents in a supportive group to help your adolescents reach their full potential. The programme can support the following areas:
- Manage behaviour and emotional problems
- Deal with puberty, sexuality and relationships
- Reduce their own stress as parents
- Support all relationships in the family
- Build self-esteem and confidence
- Advocate for their child or adolescent
- Support education and development
- Prepare their child for adulthood and future transitions
This programme will run from the 10th of January 2022 until the 7th of March – This is to allow for a weeks break during the February Midterm
Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Booking a place on the programme is essential and you can do so up until end of business Friday the 23rd of December.
